We are Storm Proud
Syndal Storm is a basketball club based out of the Nunawading Basketball Association in South East Melbourne. Founded in 2018 the club has grown into both junior and senior competitions.
What started out as a senior domestic team on a Sunday afternoon has grown into a club founded on the concept of creating a community and becoming one of the only family oriented clubs, hosting frequents club functions and events to ensure everyone feels like they are part of the Storm family.

What We Stand for
Syndal Storm was built off the basis that other clubs just treated members as numbers. We have seen firsthand that if you arent that MVP you are just a registration payment. For us, this wasn’t good enough, we wanted to create a club that not only treats every member like family but also give them the best opportunity to grow and develop on and off the court through our various programs.

The club’s short-term vision is to grow into a strong sustainable club that offers the best opportunities for all members on and off the court.
Our long-term goals are to become a powerhouse club in the South East of Melbourne, having multiple teams in all age groups.

Simon is an experienced strength and conditioning trainer who has been involved in organizations such as AFL Victoria, South Melbourne soccer club and Pearsdale FC.

Jimmy Zy
Coaching Co-Ordinator
Jimmy joins us from a strong basketball background with a China Basketball Association Class E Coaching Certificate, Shanghai Amateur Game Vocational Training Certificate, and Class 2 Basketball Reference Certificate and is currently undertaking a master’s in Sports Analytics with a focus on basketball.

Events Co-ordinators
Mikayla and Emma both came to the club to play senior womens games and have become fully invested in the growth of the club. They are using their skills in events planning to help grow the club culture
